OMLOCK shows the following advantages over conventional coupling systems:

● The system will never have any play.
The patented shape of the pin (which is not conical but machined cylindrically along the two axes) guarantees indeed that the system will never have any play.

● The coupling is made without efforts.
In the mechanically operated version of the OMLOCK system, the pins can be effortlessly inserted and removed by hand which makes the use of sledgehammers or hydraulic jacks obsolete.

Conventional system with contact only on one line

In order for an axle to fit through an opening, its diameter should be smaller than the hole.

In an OMLOCK system, the radius of the pin exactly matches the one of the hole and the load does not rest on a line, but on a half-shell-shaped surface; this results in a most favourable load distribution.

In conventional structures, the axle stresses on one single line, which will soon cause the gap to distort and induce play.
